Default Carlsberg don't do biking holidays......but if they did.....

it'd probably be alot like the holiday ive just been on!!!

I took over 400 pictures and all of them are amazing, but no way can I go thru the ball-ache of uploading them all on my extremely slow computer!

The maddest thing happened though. I'd just come down of a mountain into Le Gorge Du Tarn where the Tarn river (which eventually runs under the Milllau Viaduct) starts. I was just about to go for a swim in the river as I saw a UK SV650 sat there with a guy on it. So over I popped and asked if he happened to be a member of SV650.org and he said yeah. So hello again DRUMWRECKER! Hope you had a great time. I had the best week of my life!!! It was fooking hot that day wasnt it!? The swim was refreshing though!!

On the back through france we popped into Magny Cours and watched the Prost school of racing Formula one cars go round for a bit! Was great! VERY HOT THOUGH!!!!

And here's the pic that I think should be on the home page of this site next month:

C u all soon!

Sounds great mate, a small world as well to find another member of the org hundreds of miles from the UK! Post some more pictures so we can get a better idea of what it was like

The above picture was in La Puy-On-Valley. The most beautiful place ive ever seen! It had structures built (god knows how) on top of huge rocks that stuck up from the ground. I beleive they are the core's of old old OLD volcano's? (Correct me if I'm wrong?)

This is me listening to an answer phone message telling me my best made had just passed his bike test back home in UK! Good Lad!!!

I wouldnt like to come off my bike and fall down THAT drop:

Le Viaduc de Millau, the holy grale, the reason of my trip, Le Grande Fromage!!!

I don't condone riding along with a camera in your hand, but FOOK ME you get some good pics!!!

Uma, I was a surprised as you but I wished you had told me you going for a swim.
I had gone over on the 2nd June with MSL tours for the classic bike gathering at the Prenois track near Dijon called Coupes Moto Legende. No racing just parade laps but when you have old stars like Phil Read (Gilera 4) and Ron Chandler (BSA 3, Slipery Sam type) they don't hang around. Great meeting and lots and lots of classic machinery I have never heard of let alone seen. Very recommended.
When the rest went home on Monday I continued on to Grenoble, Livron, Albi, Gorge du Tarn, Millau, St. Antonin Noble Val (to visit a nephew), Arcachon, Saints, Confelon, Brillac (to visit a niece) just north of Limoges and then home in one hit 638 miles.
Who say SV 650's are too small for touring?
Going down travelling at about 75mph I was getting up to 184 miles before going on reserve but coming home into a headwind doing 85mph it was down to 150 miles. The trip totalled 2517 miles.
On washing the bike I found out why it felt a little skittish at the front, I had lost balance weights off the front wheel due to the glue melting in the heat.
I'll try and post some pictures.
