Default GPZ500 (Winter hack)

Have been offered a n reg gpz500 for 300 quid , It has been damaged in the past , & has had new front end fitted & has some damage to fairing , however 12 months mot & 12 k miles & fully ridable.

Do u recon it worth a go , or to much of a potenetial risk ?

Cheers Steve

If it's straight and not bent then it's alright. Buy it, get some cheap ebay bodywork and sell it for £6-700 come the summer.

Got some more details of gpz500s

manf date 30 dec 1996

bike was written off & bought back by present owner ,
MOT'd to May 2006

Checked with insurance 40 quid to add to sv , at the time did not know bike was a previous write off ,will this add to the premium much do u recon ?

will hopefully go & see bike in the flesh tonight.

with the knowledge of the bikes history I'm guessing its still work 300 quid ( a set of tyres are 200)

Cheer Steve

Checked with DVLA does not need a VIC Check.

Insurance however won't add to existing policy without a Independant Vehicle Check

Not going to bother , will keep my eye out for a straight bike

Cheers Steve

Bennetts, but not sure who the underwriter is.
I was with CIA before that and they never asked either. Mind you I never told them it was a CAT D
