Default Ouch........and the bike is hurt too

Went to France for the weekend and stayed in a lovely B&B in Lower Normandy, did lots of miles and had lovely food. When leaving B&B to go back to Le Havre front tucked under on the gravel drive and I hit the deck. My lovely bike has scratches, dent in the tank (think that might be where I kicked it though), scuffed R&Gs but nothing too serious.

On reacjing Portsmouth we made it through passport control but hubby stopped as he was having problems with his gloves. He parked up and I pulled in next to him. He jumps off bike and as he does sidestand flips up, his bikes goes over onto me and I again hit the deck, this time on the left hand side. End up lying there with 2 bikes on top of me.

Customs and Excise guys run over and get the bikes up so I can get out as my leg is pinned. Hobble around for a bit and when pain subsides a bit I jam my boot back on (gear change ankle is swelling at alarming rate) and we ride 35 miles through torrential rain home.

Having now been to A&E ankle is not broken (thankfully) but my left foot is, been signed off for 4 weeks ..........and we don't get sick pay (oh good!)

Anyway both indicators are busted on the LH side, so I am going to take this opportunity to change the indicators. Going to fairing mounted on the front, use the RH side front indicator on the back and with some wiring mods will replace sidelight bulbs with ambers to give me another indicator on the front.

(Yes it is legal as the lights some on as soon as the ignition is turned) (well according to the guys in Littlehampton Motorcycles.

Feeling a bit sorry for myself...........was my birthday yesterday and was spent at the fracture clinic

Sorry to hear that, hope you enjoyed the holiday though and heal quick.

You should get plenty of pampering as injury was someone else's fault
