Anyone have any idea how to find out someones insurance details. My gf had a crash in the snow last night and can't remember who she's insured with and her stuff is down in Birmingham?

You're out of luck I think.
Short of her ringing every insurance company and asking them, there's nothing you can do. And if you do the calling, they wont tell you if she's a customer anyway, privacy etc. Hope it all turns out ok. |

Pop into local cop shop, take ID to prove ownership of car, ask for a PNC check to reveal the insurance details. They may help or may not, depends on the person, time of day, etc.

Since the insurance companies share info she could try ringing any of the pretending to want a quote, with careful wording you maybe able to get them to tell you.

Cheers for the advice
In the end we phoned up HSBC and asked if any large sums were paid to an insurance company in June/July last year and to whom. Just call me Shirlock |
