Default Have just witness a brutal attack ....

Well kind of. The way on lookers were behaving you would have thought so ......

Walking through the high street in Macclesfield and a little old lady, with her stick, and yorkshire terrier are walking along. Not exactly minding their own business as the terrier was busy strutting its stuff and barking (like they do) at a passing Rottweiler.

The Rotty, went for it ...... not nice, but hay ho in the dog world .....?

Anyway, the terrier received a bit (not the savage rag shaking and wanted killing that apparently these dangerous dogs are prone to (being sarcastic by the way, difficult to tell in writing!)), but a 'shut your mouth i'm bigger then you bite'

The Rot owner pulled him off . The old dear still screaming very loud and high pitched and her little dog also screaming, even higher pitched.

Now then, sorry little lady but you are fragile, the incident will have been upsetting, BUT YOUR RAT STARTED IT.

As 'luck' would have it it happened outside the local rag. So, out they come taking photos etc. and a police women is walking past, so she also is interviewing.

One of the rag men came and asked if i saw what had happened, seemed a nice gay, but sorry the job - no!

I just commented that people assume that the big dog is an attacker, and two old cows interupted screaming what if it had been a child .......... well it wasn't

It was a stupid little rat dog, with a big attitute and two owners that were not fully aware of the situation, and certainly not in control.

The two ladies who interupted me were firmly told that the little sh*t had been mouthing off, and they are making assumptions about the child thing. they got upset and did the really anoying thing of shouting at me whilst walking away. Come back and explain yourselves to me please - I do not want to shout across the street.

Anyway, I lost interest in trying to talk calmly, told the reporter it made me angry to witness and listen to such crap, and I walked off.

This is long winded but I have to get it off my chest!!

If the Rot had meant business it could have killed the rat, in one good bite, just due to the size of its jaws, but it didn't .... end of.

this whole thing makes me dispair with do gooder's who know f**k all.

I thank you, and goodnight

Unfortunately it's one of the things that the owners of large dogs have to be aware of. We always walk Lupo with his lead attached to a belt. if we spot another dog, we automatically make sure we have control of Lupo, and that he isn't going to do anything unexpected. Bear in mind that he's a 6 month old puppy, all he wants to do is play at the moment. However, I've had some bizarre reactions, including people with small dogs turning and walking away, all the time their dog yapping and barking at Lupo, as if he was a dangerous beast, foaming at the mouth. Then again, one of Lupo's favourite dogs to say hello to is a Jack Russell, who seems to like Lupo as well, so it's not all small dogs, just like it's not all large dogs, but people do make assumptions

Well done for sticking up for the large dog, if the little one did indeed start it!

He He, Jack Russell a small dog that is convinced they are the size of King Kong. They ain't afraid of nuffink!

It is generally non-doggy folks who always see large dogs as the aggressor. Little 'rat on a string' things always seem to start the trouble IMO, since they yap aggressively at big dogs. Most doggy folks understand this.

It's all down to training. Responsible large dog owners recognise thier animal can be dangerous if not under control and work hard at training the animal. Small dog owners tend to be less strict, because thier little scrap of a dog is seen as 'sweet' or non-threatenig most of the time.

Yes, and it did seem a complete unjustice. Do you think they could have the dog put to sleep because of this. I mean at the end of the day, it was just two DOGS having a fall out, not a real attack. I'd hate to think i should have spoken up more and the dog gets put to sleep.

The whole 'it could have been a child' argument is just plain ignorant. Bleedin' do gooders reading too many copies of The Sun and thinking they know it all.

I hope so, that would be a real result. One less yappy little bugger gets the thumbs up from me.

Oh wait, did you mean put the big dog down? No way. Of course, if it had been a child etc etc

17, that is a long time together

My other half has a JR (he - the jack russell is 12, and called Jack) and I have a lurcher. One bite from mine would do the JR, but not a chance! The JR thinks he is the boss, and would fight until he proved it! Luckily for me my lurcher is a gentle clown, and allows the JR to think he is macho man.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't like what i saw but some people tut tut tut Like you say, they been reading the sun to much
