.....particularily Washington area and know Harraton?
Got an opportunity of a house in that area and just interested in what it's like i.e. nice to live in or full of hoods. By the way painting the house sucks! |

Doesn't it though!
![]() When I moved into this house, every room was a different shade of pink..........EVERY room, including the stairs and landing! ![]() I am NOT a pink kind of girl! ![]() It took me weeks to get the house looking reasonable! You have my commiserations...............make sure you move into a house with a decorating scheme you can live with ![]()

Welcome to the NE, It's not too bad.
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm originally from Glasgow but live Darlington area. Dunno what Washington is like, but Durham is nearby, it's pretty good. Make sure you get onto the PENNINE MASSIVE, we have some of the best biking roads in the whole of the UK up here ![]() ![]() ![]() |

We ain't heard anything too bad about it - my partner lived in Washington all her life, so whe would have heard summit i spose. Best bet is have a gander at night etc - see what kids are up to - you know the score. |

As long as its not Sulgrave, think the rest of Washy aint too bad. I work in Sunderland so its not far and have been over there a couple of times. I cant recall Harraton that well. The shopping centre (Galleries) aint that hot but you're perfectly located to go across to Newcastle or Sunderland depending on your preference.

Lol I know Sulgrave and wouldn't put it on my "want to live there" list.
My missus is originally from Blackfell then moved to Washington when she was little untill last year when she moved here. Now we are moving back. House in Harraton is good with off road parking and a drive that goes to the back of the house to keep the bike safe. Have to say I'm looking forward to it. Especially riding my bike to there from Belfast! ![]() |
