Bad news!!

At least you're ok!

Sounds like you did meet the riders nightmare....diesel! They really should put an electric green colouring into it! I've had many a 'moment' on the f***ing stuff!

Get back on the horse, as you said, as soon as poss!

To say I'm gutted is an understatement. I've been working on this thing for nearly two weeks to get it fit for riding lol.

I'm going back tomorrow to see if there's anything on the road. I want to make sure it's not a fault with the bike or a short circuit between the seat and the handle bars (me)
or a combination of any of the above

I'm a bit put off as I was riding it like a fanny, hence holding up the car behind me

Back to the toolbox and ebay for parts.

Dont forget to look in the for sale forum. I got my new forks, mudguard, wheel and spindle there. Fleabay was used for rearsets, clutch lever and manual. I also got disc bolts and a blue screen from www.svspares.com

Hope she isn't too badly damaged! (unlike mine)!

Most of it is cosmetic, I guess from being a slow speed incident. The bar end tore out and the bracket for the left foot peg snapped. I was able to bend the clutch lever back but will get new ones anyway.

I was going to buy some crash bungs for it as well. hmmmmmm, oh well

Do it! Mine saved my tank from any damage and limited the damage to the rear/seat panels when the truck ran over my front end!!

Was more of a "I was going to get them next week, wish I'd got em last week comment" Typical eh. Cheers for the link. Is there anything else I should look at in detail on the bike I may have missed?

At that speed everything 'should' be ok. It 'should' just be cosmetic. If it's a nekked check that the handlebar is still straight, if it an S check that the clipons ore ok. Did it hit the kerb? If it did what part hit the kerb?

I had a 17.5 tonne lorry run over thr front end on mine but the frame, clipons and headstock are all fine. Just a mangled front!
All being fixed on Saturday though!!

Fortunately it was a left hander and the bike stopped on the line. I ended up on the verge then back on the tarmac. No kerbs thank god. Clip on doesn't look bent apart from folded over on the end where the bar weight was ripped out.

Only just got all the fairings back from the painters and fitted last night
With my luck it's no wonder I don't bet or play the lottery!!

I presume its left side damage? You should be able to 'unfold the end of the clipon. If not theres usually plenty for sale on Fleabay! Or use svspares.com.

Good luck & don't lose your confidence. I'm a courier and seem to spend an inordinate time sliding on my ar$e!!

My life; Get up, ride, dodge idiots, get hit by idiot, stand up, get back on, ride some more etc etc!!
