I went to see spanner man for my 11K service last week and thought i'd give him a little plug as i was so happy with him and what he did to my bike.
He gave it a real good going over - i can't remember everything he did but it included: stripping down and cleaning the brakes new brake pads new fluids - oil, brake fluid, coolant. new air / oil filter. two new spark plugs. cleaning and greasing suspension linkage balancing carbs removing my ugly hand guards fitting 2 new conti road attacks (to replace my original 11k mile / 7 year old square Z4s!) Loads of other general tweaking and adjusting. All this for the bargain price of £330 - much cheaper than a suzuki dealer, and as u can hang around whilst its done u know its being done properly, by a experienced mechanic who takes pride in his work. I think everybody on here should go and see him for a service. I had a 250 mile round trip, but it was well worth it, and the ride home was amazing - like i had a new bike. See u in another 4k miles spanner man! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sounds fantastic value.
After the tyres (£150), pads (£40), filters and plugs (£30) it means the labour was around £110 for a service that includes virtually everything barring valve clearances. And done by someone who takes pride in his work. ![]() |

Ok plug noted. Good to do when someone deserves it. Will keep in mind as I'm sure there will be a time when I want someone else to give the bike a good going over.

Spannerman,
since you are about. Ive got a thundercat that needs shod with road attacks and a 1998 zx6 ninja for the same. I think the rear section on a ninja is 170?? wheres as the thundy is the same as the SV. My question is do you normally have them in stock? |
