Default Back on the road!

After a few months of boredom i am finally back on the road, although my knee is made of cheese

I got my insurance changed from the SV>R6 for £120 which i thought was decent. The excess has halved as well....which was a nice surprise.

Although i rode like a girl for the most part i did burn up a guy on a fazer on some roads i know well....in fairness he might not of known it was a race

Good news, seems like ages ago that you had your 'off'... Do you want to meet up at 12ish on sunday to ride to Fox's?

12 is fine with me....i would say meet up in the garage near the roundabout towards A308 but that would be tempting fate

I have ordered my R&G's and they should be in the garage saturday latest(more likely Thursday/Friday)so i will prob pick up some new leathers then.

I got out and did some more miles today and the knee seemed pretty good. My spare helmet on the other hand is a bugger....such crap compared to my Arai. God knows when the new one will arrive, but hopefully ASAP. Running the bike in is a pain in the ass....below 7000RPM for 600 miles. Sadly thats when the bike starts to take off and from there go to warp speed. I have strayed from the guidelines a little....got the front wheel up nicely

Although i shouldn't be surprised, the bike is so much easier to ride and throw around. Everything seems effortless and feels so stable. I could judge 30MPH pretty easily on the SV...but im way out on the R6... by up to 10MPH!

There seems to be a bit of a myth that you have to dance around the gears to get any power, but when i finished playing and cruised home i just left it in 3rd and it pulled fine from slow speeds.

Maybe its just me but it feels so comfortable in comparison to the SV...i certainly wouldn't rule out it for comfort before you have test ridden it.

Glad to see the knee isn't as bad as I'd thought, I would have thought the R6 was a bit of a bend, but as I say glad you've got the movement.

Im really grateful for the movement as well. After it happened it was virtually locked and i had little feeling/control as the nerve was pinched. Its got better over the months though and is ok now, still not great to walk on but a lot better than it was.

After the op in Spetember hopefully i can have a speedy rehab and be back to normal with regards to bikes/sports.

I was wallowing in self pity for a while...but reading how you and others have handled wonky knees has been great motivation
