Default Bloody combine harvesters

Hey, firstly thanks for all the kind messages they really cheered me up whilst in hospital.

This is for everyone after the gory details:

Basically I went round a blind corner to find a combine harvester stationary at the side of the road, covering the grass verge and a car coming the other way. with no exit I hit the brakes and hoped for the best. Next thing i remember is swearing my head off at the police officers as they (under medic supervision) put my leg back into place from being twisted round the wrong way. My head has blocked all vision of this and any memory of the actual crash. next thing i remember is being wheeled into the ambulance. the next few days are very hazy. Was in intensive care for 3 days-ish and in hospital for a total of 2 weeks.

Well the Damage..
broken femurs (left leg), damaged hamstring, broken right arm, fractured hand, dislocated elbow, bruised liver & slight internal bleeding. Had to have 45 staples in my leg (massive scar) and 16 in my arm, have a metal pin going half way down in my leg and pins and plates in my arm, which is gonna be in a cast til next week.

Lets just say I'm not walking for quite a few weeks yet, back home and on crutches just now, but I really cannot move far. I am very lucky 2 be honest, full recovery is estimated at about a year.

For those that want a list of damage to the bike can come and see a list as I aint typing it out, and haven't got any photos yet (the list is tres looooooong!). but my independent valuation valued the repair at over £7000. Still waiting for the insurance to work stuff out.

Glad to hear you're on the mend OYB.

Hope the recovery goes quickly.

£7000 damage? So does that mean you're selling a crash damaged bike for £7000?

Now that's just genius on your part.

Take it easy on those crutches.

Cheers
