Blackwall Tunnel Speed Cameras

I noticed a nasty looking pair of yellow cameras above the lanes of the northbound entrance to the Blackwall Tunnel today with another set above the lanes on the exit.

Would this represent the spread of the menace that is the average speed camera?

I didn't see any warning signs, aren't these compulsory now?

There is a camera further up the road which does have a warning sign, perhaps that is all that's required legally?

Please tell me they were facing the oncoming traffic

Well if this barmy Gov ahve their way then there will be a speed camera on every street corner and most roads (except for main arterial roads) will be a 20mph limit. and the reasons for cameras on every corner? Well cos the 20mph MUST be adhered to and those cameras are average speed cameras.

How pathetic eh?

But sorry to rant in your thread as i'm sure there is one about 20mph limits somewhere else on the site. So i'm off to rant in there instead.
