Surely they'd have a structural weak point in the middle of the roof?

The engineer must know that!

(sorry, someone pass me my coat!)

:P hehe. square ones are structurally much worse! Round ones transmit the forces much better. I'd quite like to drive down one of the pedestrian sized tunnels though, could be star shaped for all i care

Ignore me, mis-quoted. I meant square ones have a structural weak point.

Yeah, it is a little difficult. I'm stuck in the rolls royce lab lab all day now. I bet you can imagine how much fun that is! Surely you miss all those lovely structures/statics/dynamic lectures?!

Flight Lieutenant Danny Velinski dug 17 tunnels with his bare hands, all of them square and he knows more than you. And he was claustraphobic.

Did he escape on a rowing boat in the end or was that James Coburn?

They're pretty much identical. We share quite a few subjects, otherwise they change 'car' to 'plane'. The merger this year has screwed things up big time. We're doing an entirely new course put together from lots of bits of others, makes it a nightmare trying to work out what we should be learning. We also do really complicated subjects having not done any of the groundwork we should have done. It gets really petty the way the two universities bicker at each other.
