I am an auxilliary nurse in an orthopeadic trauma ward so if you ever break any bones it will be me that looks after you (well if its in the south side of Glasgow), already nursed a few bikers with broken ankles etc.

As for what I know about bikes, I understand how they work but when it comes to fixing them I take it to the local garage and go no worky please fix

Oh yeah i forgot in a previous life i was an electrician! house / industrial and have been known to be able to fix electrical appliances eg. showers and washing machines etc..

"i can put you in jail" - you an oink or a lawyer? lol

van expenses - try www.hmrc.gov.uk/mileage - p87 claims for mileage, for motoring expenses he can put it in the expenses box, failing that put in a claim for van expenses in writing but be realistic, business use expenses only if he also uses the van for personal use, he can claim any expense by deciding on a percentage for business use and apply it to all his running costs and make a claim on it - they may decide he needs to do a full tax return every year though.
If he wants to know where to send a claim into get him to ask for his employers p.a.y.e ref number and using the first 3 digits put it into this search engine to find his tax office address and telephone number to call for help.

I make some of the big metal bits for some of these things

Coded welder to trade, working as a Fabricator/welder just now. Have some big hammers in my tool box, also have a slightly more refined tool box for working on cars/bikes. Will tackle anything from changing a bulb to swapping engines!

Diesel drinking, ozone layer reducer in a V8 580bhp Scanny.. also tends to tow large 48' trailers about.

Have a large workshop with full repair and servicing facilites on site. Never need to see a main dealer for bike servicing. Northy is yer maun for suspension overhauls...

Stuarty, deffo need the suspension done mate! and the front forks need adjusted!

on the list...

coolant renewed

Oil and filter change.

Brakes cleaned and new pads & new brake lines

Clutch cable adjustment/replacement (think its stretched but going to attempt to adjust it at the sprocket if needed)

i'm going to have a go doing the throttle body snychronisation, noticed i need a tool with some gauges and tubes coming from it. Any help appreciated if someone can already do it or help me source the tool. If i can suss it then it's going to be a wack of money saved for everyone!

they way i see is if someone can do a bit of this and that then all we have to do is travel to each others places to get the various jobs done.

I work in a Bank, so I can charge you money for doing nothing. A skill quite transferrable to the motorbike service industry I think

I can do, ooh, most stuff really other than welding and machining. Not that good with suspension though, it's too subjective for me so I can set it up for myself but probably not for you...
