Swapped bikes with my mate after the last IAM meet, he loves the sound and look of my SV so had to in the end. It was actually great fun, I jumped on his little Honda CB400 import and led the way until confident he was cool with the SV.

Ended up thrashing his CB, so much fun taking crested corners and the whole thing flexing and shifting about under you, pegs scraping the tarmac and a little 400 screaming away. The SV is a fair bit quicker eveywhere though.

So ended up driving each others bikes for about 70 miles back home, he now wants an SV

Oh yea, as most of you already know, whenever I have the opportunity at all, I'm on my mates R1.

I'd trust him to take the SV out as well, and he has done in the past. Other than that, no-one else rides my bike, but they're welcome to perch on the pillion seat (just mind the high-level exhaust on your feet!!)

i let my bro ride my old bike. Took him to a car park, he'd never ridden any bike before- so that was a bit nerve wracking! hehe

Anyone can ride mine, so long as they bear in mind that it's a "new for old" policy. For some reason they seem to turn down the offer then.

I quite often swp bikes with friends - variety is the spice of life and all that! Scariest thing I have swapped with was a YZF1000 ThunderAce two months after I had passed my test - tooooooooo much speed for me at the time!

I'm happy to let others ride my bike. But I get nervous riding theirs, lack of confidence I guess, and the fear of 'what if....'

Only ever swapped cars not bikes, my mate let me take his Civic Type R round the Nurburgring, think I unsettled him in the first corner and from then on he was saying "steady, STEADY" at every other corner, suffice to say that he didn't want to have a go in my diesel!

Still to swap bikes etc, mate at work wants me to have a go on his 02 R1, mainly because it's for sale and he wants to get me hooked on it.

I'm always gettin mates come up to me saying, "lets have a go Stu?" I say no to them all the time. I would let a biker on it though. Think i could trust them.
