I was initially with Bennetts when I had my bandit written off as a result of being rear ended at a red light. Despite the 3rd party admitting liability and me getting a full settlement Bennetts canceled my NCB.

However, I phoned them and told them of my displeasure and the girl said "I will talk to the underwriter and phone you back within half an hour". True to her word she did, and they came back with a quote of about £115 FC for one year NCB on my SV. So I grabbed it. The following year they quoted £135 with 2 years NCB. So I ran over to E-Bike who have been excellent

Can I make a suggestion - if you are insured with Bennetts then forward them the address of this thread. I've done this with various companies over the years and it is amazing the affect it can have.

Good idea! At the same time, perhaps someone can dig out the other "bennets are crap" threads, and email them over too

+1

I wrote in a similar thread about this lot. Had 2 policies with them. Cancelled my SV policy and they were still taking money from my account. Had a claim with them which is STILL ongong 6 months after the event and they have done nothing about it. They added a £750 excess clause to my policy which I never signed up for or agreed to and are digging their heels in.

I could go on about these jokers but it makes my blood boil.

I for one will NEVER insure with them again. The more word spreads about them the better.

They were one of the cheapest with me, haven't had any problems, but haven't tried claiming either. Did charge £25 when I changed bikes, but most do I think. They did give me a 3 day pass for the BSB at Donnington for 2 weeks. But judging by what everyone else is saying, I will look about next time.

Had the same with them when I changed my GPz for the XJR, I told them to stick it where the sun don't shine & just let it run it's course. I wouldn't recommend Bennetts to anyone.
