What was even worse was, bearing in mind i'd just been wiped out, i damaged my foot and couldn't walk for over a week.

Straight after the accident, i crawed over to him and aided him in any way I could (the guy was clearly in pain). I got abuse from the kids from his estate, i got abuse from other people, I had the police on my side, yet I still became the victim.

Makes me sick some people. I never claimed injuries, and when I found out over 2 years later and the file had been closed "again" I was told I could no longer put a claim in for my bike damages and injuries......

So he caused the accident, he got paid out, i was an innocent victim (was doing about 20mph), smashed my bike (well, 200cc scooter) up, had to take time off work and couldn't walk for a while, and I got shafted big time.

I need to become this dude

If a pedestrian chooses to be a lemming with me about more fool them. I will do all I can to avoid them but I will NOT risk my life to do so. I will also take them for all they got. Raaaargh!

I just beep them and rev the engine and keep moving, it works in Soho.
But then I have a air horn, not the stupid 'wet fart' horn that comes with the SV.

I have found that the horn simply says "I would like you to get out of the way" and is largely ignored.

14,000 rpm for the ZX6R (While dramatically coming to a stop 12 inches from them) however, has made a kid's limbs all try to run away in different directions at the same time. He could hear that through the iPod and I know his name was Peter, because his mum was screaming at him

Laugh? Kept me happy the whole way home.....

They don't teach the 'Green Cross Code' in schools anymore.

That is something very basic but could save many many lives

But why should it be taught at school? Surely parental responsibility extends to "how to cross the road"? Tim did it with his kids, my parents taught me, I am teaching my kids.

It's like those adverts with the dead kid: "hit me at 35mph ... hit me at 30mph"

Why not just get out of the f#cking road?!? Spackers.

Because its the wonderful benevolent state that's supposed to guide us, think for us and keep us safe. It's the brave new world.

dont know if this is relevant mate but I was surprised to find this in the highway code when I did my test 4 years ago - ignore if not applicable to your situation

see the 3rd sentence

146:
Take extra care at junctions.
You should watch out for cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians as they are not always easy to see .

Watch out for pedestrians crossing a road into which you are turning. If they have started to cross they have priority, so give way .

watch out for long vehicles which may be turning at a junction ahead; they may have to use the whole width of the road to make the turn (see Rule 196)
not assume, when waiting at a junction, that a vehicle coming from the right and signalling left will actually turn. Wait and make sure
not cross or join a road until there is a gap large enough for you to do so safely.

most parents these days are fine with letting their kids out on the streets at 11pm at night, probably with a knife or such.

You think they will be bothered to teach them anything at all? Because commen sense and respect dissapeared when labour come into power...

The other good one is to stop 2" from them, and apply the horn and keep it pressed till they look, shout out some abuse about how dumb they are and doesn't looking apply to them. Everyone will look, the pedestrian will feel an idiot.
