Re: forks
If your are talking about a straight swap then the answer is no.

Re: forks
Good morning.
No they wont, due to being different diameters. You may be able to install a complete front end from an SV1000. yhis would depend on the length of the steering stem. Who knows if this will improve the handling, but you would probably end up with better brakes. Cheers. |

Re: forks
Yup, if you want 4-pots IMO it makes sense to have the forks to make use of them, since the standard forks are overwhelmed by the stock calipers. I reckon sorted forks with standard brakes would stop you faster than standard forks with stronger brakes, myself.
SRAD 600 would be a RWU fork with fairly easy fitment and 4-pot calipers by the way, a la TSM. It doesn't fit your yokes but the SRAD yokes are a good fit for the SV. Or, other GSXR USD forks work too. It sounds really intimidating and expensive, but it's actually not, if you can bleed brakes and change a bearing you can fit a GSXR front end... And if your SV parts are in good nick you should get a good return on those, my SV parts would have paid for the GSXR parts I used if I'd not got carried away. depending on your weight and teh forks, paying for a service and rebuild is often wise too, I got away with it as I got good forks and I'm very light. I probably shouldn't say all this as the GSXR fronts really seem to impress people

Re: forks
TSM's done it... I'm pretty sure it was a straight drop in other than needing the Twin Works Factory custom top bearing, and probably the same slight ignition (or frame) mod that the 750 does to get the parking lock to work, but it'd be sensible to check with him. He had grief with his parts but I think the concept was sound.

Re: forks
Fitting SV1000 front of a carby is the same as late GSXR, ie different top bearing and the lockstops wont work or the steering lock.
They're not that great and pretty long, better off going for GSXR rwu or usd |
