I think when you look at his response in context, in the original post, it's clear he's referring to your post about Harleys. TBH your first 2 posts in this thead were to spontaneously slag off Scottish dealerships (OP is in Sussex) and then to slag off Harleys just because he mentioned he had one, I can see why he'd maybe get a bit narked- it just seems like randomly slating his choice of bikes.

Though Wow, I think you need to step back, like Jambo says Lozzo is entitled to his opinion- if you don't like it feel free to argue with it, feel free to ignore it, but you can't tell him to shut up. And accusing Lozzo of misrepresenting your posts is a bit off IMO.

OK I am completely at fault should have posted it in the SV forum where we talk about SVs only.

The first comment (lets not call it attack) was made yesterday in another thread).

Lozzo says: I've ridden plenty of 125s that have been a step up from an 883 Sportster, and yes, I've ridden a couple of Sportsters too. (end quote)

You all carry on thought I had found a friendly forum but I was wrong.

You imagine to be in my position. From now on everything what I'm going to say or ask I run the risk of getting slagged off about my harley or whatever. Nice position to be in huh. Game set and match you won.

Firstly, Wow is a 'she', as in female.

My experiences of Scottish dealerships have been mainly negative, and that's a view shared by many of my Scottish friends. I'm amazed they've managed to turn things around and start giving customers good service - well done to them.

Yeah, I can't stand Harleys, I make no secret of it. Wow came onto a forum asking for opinions, she got a bit more of an opinion than she expected and doesn't like it... <shrugs> tough, live with it. It's a free world and people have freedom of speech in the country I post from. If someone slates my choice of bike I just laugh at them and get on with it, because I know from experience what is best for me. Obviously her Sportster isn't that a good choice because she's looking to add a more rideable bike to her collection.

As Harley have less than 1% of the UK's new motorcycles market share I'd say I'm in the vast majority of people who don't like their products, so my slagging them off doesn't reflect badly on me, I'm just voicing a very commonly held opinion.

Anyway, enough of Harley talk, their bikes bore me so does discussing them seriously.

It's ok Lozzo I have already admitted my defeat. I'm not going to be more insulted by your comments. I do not have another option than leaving this forum where freedom of speech includes slagging other people's bikes off.

TBH 'wow' has come on here to get feedback on a potential purchase..

I don't see where slagging of wow's Harley is relevant at all? If somebody doesn't like Harleys then why litter this thread with their grievances? Start a 'why I don't like Harleys' thread. There is having a joke about someones choice of bike and there is slagging it off completely. Quite a difference!

Don't jump ship yet wow, this is the best bike forum on the interweb!

If you read through the forum posts you'll find there's a constant slagging off between curvy and pointy SV owners here - it's friendly banter, and Harley riders should get used to it because it happens absolutely everywhere except the Harley forums.

You'll need a thicker skin than the one you have if you're going to post to anywhere on the net, cos believe me, the little tickle you've had here is nothing compared to what I've seen Harley riders get elsewhere. This is the friendliest forum I have ever come across, and ok, I may be a bit abrasive at times, but just about everyone knows it and deals with it in their own way. Northwind puts me straight on stuff I got wrong, I accept it and we move on. I'll be the first to admit I am wrong, if I ever am, and apologise for it, I certainly don't try and dig my hole deeper by getting all defensive.

Chill out, buy a naked SV and settle in.

Wow dont bugger off you will get alot of friendly advice here its one of the best forums around imo, dont take it to heart about your harley as i have already said i like them as do alot of people but alas they are not to everyones tastes, you have been ribbed abit about it but just shrug it off.

It would be a pity if you left the forum just because of this, come on boys leave her harley alone she loves it, get yourself your new bike and and join in some of the rideouts and you will have a great time
