This is a really easy request- but I know nowt about Photoshop, other than the fact that I am starting courses on it next week!!

I have a simple task- put one image onto another - IE, a face from one image, onto a body from another image.

I've found there is a wealth of help out there on youtube, just type ina few choice words and someone somewhere will have made a tutorial.

Open both images, use a lasso tool to "cut out" the face you wish to transplant, select edit-copy, paste (in the body image), edit-transform to fit it.
Blending options to make it look right. Always make sure you're working with seperate layers and be aware of which layer you are editing.

Trial and error. Just click everything and see what it does

I used to do that, photoshop pics of my ex's face on porn shots d/loaded from dodgy websites, print them off onto photo paper and leave them in her photo album ready for her to show friends her holiday snaps. This was when we were living together. Ooh the fun I had running around the house with her brandishing a kitchen knife.

Good tip is to use the magic wand tool to cut out the head if the background is sufficiently different and monochromatic.

To fine tune the "cut out"

Use Alt or Shift while using the lasso tool and you'll be able to remove or add pixels around the initial selection.

One useful little tip is when you're zoomed in on an image holding the space bar will let you pan around - useful when doing a detailed lasoo comand.
