Like Grant said, you could hook up with some of us in the Thames Valley section for a rideout before this trip.. We will no doubt be off somewhere this sunday if the weather permits.. Check 'The Rideout Thread' in the the TV section..

It will be my first time riding abroad but if it's anything like driving then you adjust very quickly.

you mean the first trip that wasn't a flash holiday to party in some cool place like Barcelona, paid for by your work?

I did earn them squllions of pounds selling drugs ( The legal variety) so that was the least the could do, would have preferred Dubai or Sun City as in previous years but times are tough!!!!!!!!!!

So no more paid trips abroad with work but lots of paid trips by me for this year and this will be just one of them

No problem TG. Just another aside, did you mention Euro breakdown and accident recovery? Just wondered what happens if a chain snaps, a puncture occurs or worse.

Not wishing to be a Miserable G!t, but considering the length of time you'll be out riding I would say yes. Nowt difficult about group riding or foreign roads, especially with the others to show you, but it's a long day and from experience I know how peeps get tired, not just from the physical side but the stress too, and that's when accidents can happen. Get a few long day rideouts under your belt and then go for it.

I doubt you will have to much trouble keeping up. There are some long open roads where the speed picks up but overall our Tail End Charlie (dood at the back) will not leave you behind.

Tis very good advice.. I'm changing insurer at the end of May so will check the new one covers trips abroad and the breakdown cover does too..
