Default DB Killer question

Ok, the exhaust is on! Now, this thing is loud - Micron rate it at 106dB at 7k rpm! While I quite like the sound, I would like to air on the side of caution and fit a removable baffle. Especially since the legal limit in Oz is 94dB

I have found this:

http://www.predatorexhaust.co.uk/uni...MM-RACE-CANS/9

& this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MOTORCYCLE-EXH...ZViewItem#nogo

Now, my can has a 50.8mm outlet which makes me think the first option is the best, but the second is about half the price.

So - does anyone here use one of these generic baffles? and are they all just one size? I'd rather not get something too small that will rattle about.

Thanks for any insight

Luke

I've got the 2nd one. It's a snug fit in the end of a Fuel Exhaust & you will have to drill a hole in the end of your can if it hasn't got one already. I put a post on here about fitting mine, but cant find it They work fairly well, I use mine on the CB now for track days.

They should be the same size as the common aftermarket exhausts here in the UK are the same and only the link pipe is different.

Looks terrible though when in place....

Cool Mr C -Does your fuel can have a 50.8mm outlet? I think that is a standard for race cans, but just to be sure.

Only if, the outlet is angled..... which mine isn't The more expensive first option offer a cut/angled version is you have angled outlet.

Either way - at between $250 & $500 for getting caught; I'd rather pay 15 quid for a baffle!

Yes, 50.8mm it is, so you should be ok with the cheap one
