I got rid of my gsxr 750 and kept my little SV . It suits my riding style more and doesn't want to be away at every throttle twist . The gsxr made me realise that riding my bike was better than thrashing a rocket .

I love my GSXR600 k8, it's supprising how comfy it is. At motorway speeds you can rest your arms on your legs taking the weight off your wrists. I find it more comfy for my style of riding, I found changing gear harder on the SV aswell, i think it was the postion of the pegs, on the gixer you barley have to move your foot to slot it home. Loving it

Assuming that you enjoy riding the SV for 'fun' then I'd suggest buying something as different as possible - or you run the risk (as Fizz found) of having a bike that you really don't have any inclination to ride as your new one does it all better.

The sort of thing I'd be looking at would be :-

Supermoto - GREAT for sh*ts & giggles - could also be used for your commute - 400cc+

Trail / Enduro bike - as above but can also be used for a bit of off-roading - 250cc+

Tourer - if you fancy the idea of doing some miles (in comfort) as well as having a laugh. I have 1200 GS but any of the 'grown-ups' bikes would do the trick - 750cc+
