LG make their own screens, Sony I believe use Samsung screens.

I just wish there was a shop nearby that had all 5 screens so I could view them all in the same surroundings!

Richersounds stocks all of the screens but only have 2 of them in stock and don't think they'd be happy about getting the other 3 screens in just so I could make up my mind!!

Will be getting the extended warranty from Richer sounds anyway (5 years for 10% of the screen price!)

I brought mine at John Lewis and got 5 years chucked in free.

You'll use it a lot. I have a loathing for Richer sounds. They look great on the face of it, but underneath they are ****e. I know a lot of people that have had nothing but trouble with ANYHTHING bought fro there. Be warned young padowan.

As scoobs says, JL have a 5 yr warranty on every tv they sell. They come to you to pick the TV up. Richer however make YOU take it to the store!

Here you mr Phil. The new model from LG (the one you have in your list is the old model)for £50 more than the RS pannel with warranty, deliverd free. Its what i would do.

I've just bought a 32" Samsung, I think the same model as you have listed in the poll.

The picture is cracking - but the sound is poo once you bump it up. The TV chassis starts to vibrate with it. I can't comment on any of the others, but if you go samsung - I'd budget for a little surround system too.

I've decided that I can't stretch to £500 so that rules out John Lewis, besides, RS is only a mile or two away from me!

Not too bothered about volume level as it's for the bedroom and Kate doesn't like the telly too loud anyhow, just as long as it doesn't sound sh1te!!

I bought my son the LG 37" for his birthday this year and he`s really impressed with it. He uses it a lot for gaming so don`t know if that makes any difference to you.
