I think i wasn't paying attention

sorry sir's and miss

It is nice knowing you got something that you've worked for; I expect this lad dosn't know the value of things in a sentimental way...my bike is worth maybe £1200, but I would be devestated if it got stolen / written off. It means more to me than just money, and thats the nice thing about working hard for something, you feel proud when you get on your bike and it feels like a prize for everything you did to get it

They never learn to look after themselves and dont appreciate the value of stuff. He will probably still be living with mummy when he's 25+ (unless of course she buys him a house as well )

I pity them more than get jealous of them.

My girlfriends sister gets everything handed to her on a plate, completely spoon fed and can do no wrong even though most of the time she is a little ****. Kerry would get told off for not washing her car weekly when she lived at home...... where as her sister gets her car washed for her.

It makes her jealous and angry....but I sit back and try and tell her to think who the better person is at the end of the day.....Kerry is succesful by her own doing and hard work, she moved out of home at 22 into a £200k house and bought herself the car she has always wanted..... her sister will be still be getting her tank filled up for her and getting her car washed weekly by the time she is 22

Don't worry it's not an unreasonable question at all. He may have a terrible claims history as well

Just like I don't think you can categorically say that he doesn't appreciate it because he hasn't worked for it.

I'm sure he apreciates it on some level, but maybe dosnt get that pang sometimes of "ooooh bike, i love you, i'll never let you go cos i worked so hard to win you"

Might make him fond of his mum? If my dad gave me his GSXR750, I'd cherish it, but I wouldnt feel the same way about it as i do my SV

Not mentioned he crashed a bike. He has ovr 4 years riding experiance on the road and going on what tim said more off road. That IMO makes him far more capable and experianced than a hell of a lot of people on this site, me incuded.
Ah, maybe misunderstood the quote then. I stick by my thoughts that what annoys me is (again subject to interpretation of someone's post) him not appreciating what he's got. Although he could be, so maybe I should leave it there

Good on hm i say, i wish i had parnts who could have afforded to do that for me at his age.

Seems a lot of people are bitter he has a far beter bike than them at a young age!! rather than genuine concern for his saftey.

He may go and smash it up due to his immaturity, but the same could be said for a lot of people on here who do direct acces and get an SV at 21. I would go as far as to say he is better prepared than people like that as he has already had 2 years on an R6! and i dont think its mentioned he smashed that up is it?? Seems he may well respect bikes better than cars.

Grow up people, some one has something better than you so young, boo hoo!!
That's exactly what I was thinking! Who cares what anyone else has?
