I talk to my bikes too. I tell my other suzie (my wife's name is Sue) not to be jealous of the little bike I commute on uring the week saying that she'll have her fun in the weekend. Also a friendly path on the rear seat is given before closing my garage door after a nice ride out. They're our metal horses. I think 90% of us bikers are people with overactive imaginations and a romantic bunch. Some of us imagine of being on a fighter plane hunting down the bike/car in front, some an old knight gearing up for battle substituting the iron armour and helmet with their leathers and protection. What do you guys fantasize in this regard?

Totaly attached to my Land Rover. I have had if fully rebuilt after the old tin worm took hold. It now has a 3.5 v8 and loads of extras that make it much more useable on a day to day basis, and fun to play in! Like Lissa, I will have to sell it at some point very soon to get something that will carry two child seats. That will be a very, very sad day

The only way I can see me releasing Helga or Anastasia is if someone torched them, or they ended up as a CAT-A write-off.

I buy bikes but I don't sell bikes.
Only sold 1, long ago. But that was because I got tired of working on that POS Honda all the time and needed the money for a newer bike.
Still have 5 in various sheds, barns around the farm.
(and pieces from a few more)
I have given several away after they sat for 20 years or so to friends who needed parts for similar bikes.
Most were in excellent shape when parked.
3 of them I still ride some.
Not counting my SVS. ...which I will never sell (or give away for parts).
Nope...she's got a home for life!

Yes...I loved every single one of them.

I'm not afraid to admit im emotionally attached to my bike...its connected to alot of great memories for me. If I lost my bike, I might not be so easily reminded of the things I've seen, heard, experianced

Havent had a bond that strong with a bike (yet) but I have to admit feeling a knotted stomach when I sold my 1990 5.0 Mustang - how I loved that car - the only car I have ever sold that has made me feel sick inside watching someone else driving it away
