EDIT & WTF - Hot Water
You forgot the space you t wat
You put the milk in first if you've made a pot of tea.
You need boiling water to brew the tea & milk in the cup to stop the hot tea cracking the china cup

Using a tea bag in a mug put the milk in after it has brewed

This actually came from times where the poor didn't have china cups ... they put the milk in so the cup didn't crack, the rich/well to do had china and they didn't need to ... therefore the way you made your tea was deffo a 'class' thing

I'd expect even today all northerners to make tea with the milk in first, not that they can't afford china (or that normal mugs crack), they just have no class!!

Indeed did a 'fail' - my excuse was that I was distracted!!

But this time I tipped the excess down the sink before putting the milk in!!

right story, wrong way round from what i've heard...

[edit]seems i heard wrong, wikipedia to the rescue...[/edit]

as for over-filling it i reckon it's because you're a risk taker, you want to get as much in as possible and often this results in you overfilling. i know because i do the same, and if i were going to get all dr phil about it i'd say i bet you also try to beat the self closing fridge door when you put the milk back in instead of just using your other hand to stop it shutting

am i close?
