Default David Cameron

I always feel uneasy about 'career politicians'. This boyo hasn't held a single job outside of politics in his life, was educated at Eaton, and has been a millionaire from birth.

Now I don't want suggest that a privileged background should make you exempt from, or inhibit your political career in any way. But this man has never had to make a wage, ever! I don't think you should even run for MP until you've spent considerable time living abroad!

Is it just me who just sees him as Tony Blair with a aristocratic background? That he'll only get voted in because Labour have made themselves incredibly unpopular?

He's very fluent in bs.. And it's very obvious he's bull****ting people. One thing I like about Gordon Brown is that he (seems to) genuinely believe what he is saying, which is vary rare in a politician it seems.

The question I keep pondering is this: Is it worth voting for Mr Cameron, even though I don't like him, purely because he says that they'll scrap ID cards if they get into power? I'm not sure.. Chances are they'd say that until they're elected and then forget about it, then what can you do?

My initial impression was "ponce" when he became tory leader. That hasn't changed..

Crikey chaps, see what a pickle the state school system is in, the rabble don't even know how to spell Eton! That settles it, little Tarquin is not to set one foot in a state school, he might catch something.

I would still vote conservatives over labour.

Radio 2 did a poll today about 12ish whilst I was driving and 60% of the people who phoned in said they would like a coalition goverment.

He's a politician, you can't trust any of them.

They tell you what you want to hear and then change their mind when they are in power, its been like this since the very beginning.

Exactly, there should be a 'Lack of Confidence' vote and then they will know how we truly feel rather than saying all that did not vote were to busy.

Spoil your ballet paper, they get counted seperately as spoilt ballets. Ok so it's not counted as to the reason why it's been spoiled but it's better than staying at home. I go through this around every election, our democracy sure as hell ain't perfect but people died for it and there's a steady stream of kids coming back home in body bags who continue to protect it.

Do know what you mean though. As a peace loving, freedom loving, liberal yoghurt weaving leftie I've typically gone with Labour as the closest approximation of that. But as they seem to have turned into war mongers and Orwellian oppressors I went with the yellows last general election. I don't want a party that wants ID cards (like the reds), I don't want a party who gets a hard on thinking about being an armchair general (also like the reds), I don't want a party who only says they don't get a hard on playing armchair general after it's revealed that the last armchair general campaign was based on a lie and has gone tits up (the blues), and I don't want a party who bases policy on whatever the Daily Mail has got it's knickers in a twist in today (the blues again). That leaves the yellows.

And yes, I know what you're going to say next, and yes, you're right - they'll probably never get in so they can promise tax cuts alongside increased social spending and free spaceships for all at their party conference if they like... But hell, the only way they'll never get in is if everyone thinks it's a wasted vote. So I'll happily waste my vote for the time being.
