If you are trying to remove it from the Curvy in your avatar then you will get no where doing that, the screw and weight are not connected like they are on Pointys or nakeds. The bar end will simply pivot around and around....
You need to remove the screw. |

Curvy faired SV's bolt straight on to the end of the clip-on...
![]() ![]() Pointy SV's and naked Curvy's use the rubber bung method, which you can pull out with mole grips.... ![]() |

I realise that I need to remove the screw but thought if I could turn the bar end the same direction that the screw is removed that it would just loosen it a bit. When I say that nothing would budge I mean that even the bar end did not pivot around it stayed exactly where it is.

No, the screw does not thread into the bar end it is pressed againt the clip-on by the screw.... The screw and bar end are not locked/attached to each other.

Drilling it out is the best option by the sounds of things. Drill the head off if you can, pull the bar end off, and use some grips to get the bolt out, or notch it and use a screw driver
