The Scirocco is awful inside, nothing special about it whatsoever... but it's a sexy beast

Yeh I nearly get out-accelerated by vans unless I'm over 3k rpm. I love the looks of them though, especially when you put the sidelights on - looks mean

Mine is silver so the black bumper trim sticks out a mile. The slightly newer ones have colour coded trims

I think it's this "diffuser" trend which has come down from some supercars, e.g

I like the Scirocco, if I were after a 3 door one I'd want that instead of the Golf. Only downside with the Scirocco is that it has the Golf V interior, and not the new Golf VI interior.

Scirocco might look good but power wise is lower than the SEAT Leon. Why produce a car that is lower spec than your cheaper rival?

Golf is nice but every year there is a new version of it! It's becoming a bit of a joke IMO.

Not a fan of the Golfs...
Too underpowered compared to how heavy it is! - much better cars in its class!

mines a 2003 on on a 52 plate (£100 insurance than if it was 2002! ) - and yeah, agreed, side lights look good.

Vans aren't to be sniffed at though I used to drive a 2l turbo diesel tranny and it was rapid! I just chose the golf cause it looked smart, was comfy (I drive a fair bit), nice to drive and reliable (supposedly...the gearbox has started to go). Before the golf I drove work cars; a 2002 polo (horrible to drive), a bmw saloon (more underpowered than the golf), a new 2l focus (horrible until you get to about 50mph) and a 2l turbo petrol audi a3 (fun!). I can honestly say the golf's the second best to drive out of the lot of them, after the audi - the others don't come close. just don't attempt hills with a full tank!
