WTF???!!! (sorry - can't believe what I read in your OP!! )

You need to ride your bike to improve - I was exactly the same when I first passed - wobbled round every corner etc etc, wasn't til i got a few miles under my belt and took some advanced training ( I was particularly bad ) that I improved.

Also, who owns the bike? you or him? If it's yours then tell him to butt out!

get out there and ride - good luck

If he feels small by riding about with his missus then he sure as hell isn't going to take her name lol!

Tell your OH to give you the keys or a copy of so that you have access to your bike or you'll take a crowbar to his lock up to get it out....it's your bike, if he's keeping from you, he's essentially breaking the law.

Tell him that you will not go out alone, but that you will not go out with him as his criticism and unfair judgement make you nervous so you will only be going out with more experienced riders that will give encouragement and build your confidence.

Fenjer, I'm sure your bloke has plenty of good points or you wouldn't be with him, but they better be really good as, at the moment he is treating you like 5 year old child, not a partner that he should trust and respect.

EDIT:-
My only reason for telling him you won't go out alone would be a short term agreement if he is genuinely worried about you to allay his fears a little of you having an off when you are by yourself. Otherwise, go out whenever you want alone or with anyone you can ride comfortably with.

GG I'd prefer to take the crowbar to his kneecaps first, then he can't follow you to the lock up to stop you getting the bike out..lol

But then I'm just mean

I had a similar thought but it wasn't his knees I was picturing taking a bashing...lol. I just turned my GBH filter on and decided the lock up should get the crowbar treatment

Un-be-live-a-ble!
It sounds to me like he feels threatened, you past your full test very quickly after your CBT with 0 faults, so he feels that he has to put you down to make himself feel better.

Please don't stay with him, as it'll only get worse.
Crowbar your bike out, he has no right to detain your property. Then just get out there on your own and build up your experience.

God, I'm so lucky with Mr Lou, he's never critised, and he'd been riding 10 years before me, he was just so pleased that we could ride together.
