Left Aberdeen on the Sunday, stayed with a friend in Sheffield on the Sunday night then home on the Monday. That was also "solo" as in no other bikes with us. There is likely to be a bunch of Scots coming down, so meet up with them and just go for it - if its anything like previous years, people on your route will offer space to bunk down over night so you can break the journey up. End of the day its up to you, but dont think it beyond you, it probably isn't (and yes I did read your other post about you and OH
