Verified many times over on the M56. Change 1-3 or 3-1.
Cool I never believed this either, same as the Loch Ness Monster, a myth

Yeah, aparantly if you ride, drive on the white line they can't pick you up
I won't be testing the theory though.

I hate this though and wish people wouldn't perpetuate this information. I have been in a average speed zone and have had people (it has happened twice now) suddenly change lane in front of me upon seeing an ANPR camera. Probably remembering this info at the last minute.

It's the new version of the people who slam on the brakes for GATSO's

Sudden changes yes, but there's no need to suddenly change lanes.

If you're the type to stay in lane 3 most of the time (which you shouldn't do anyway), then simply make your way to lane one when you see the first camera.

If you're in lane one when you see the first camera, generally speaking, you'll be under the speed limit anyway.

+1

it just increases the number of idiots doing idiotic things when the roads get busy.

I thought they were updating the cameras do deal with this.

Yep, but like GATSOs, people forget they are there and make snap decisions. It's fine if you are conscious and aware, but Mr talking-on-his-phone isn't and unfortunatley there are a lot of drivers on the road like that!

There is a much easier solution. Do the speed limit.

People talking on phones do unpredictable things when speed camera's aren't around as well.
