I do like how Melandri is quicker this year...I just hope he can keep his race laps clean, tidy and consistant!
Not expecting much from JT...he'll either be quick and crash, or slow and finish at the end of the pack! |

Just watching the race right now (11 laps to go), and a thought has struck me;
why does vale hang his leg out in the air when braking for left handers? |

There seemed to be a number of them doing it. They say it help's them balance, but I think it's more just a style thing.

Good race...
Maybe it should be like this every race. No prep but run wot u brung...I would like that! ![]() Certainly caught out both Rossi and Stoner with Lorenzo doing the job. Another top run from Kallio and Melendri doing the impossible. JT was so-so...but I wuld take Kallio over JT any day. |

Melandri was awesome compared to his last season...much improvement and he seemed confident on the black-should be green-machine!

Melandri is a class act, not many riders win elite class GPs on satellite team machinery, I'm glad he's got the chance to prove he didn't just forget how to ride in the 08 season. Although the chances that he will be able to win this year are slim to none given the standard and depth of opposition, so I hope it's just another stepping stone for him on the way to another factory ride (this time on a bike he can cope with).
I think few would have predicted Stoner's result, but it's good to see he won't be running away with it all the time. Jorge is quality, and Dani will be knocking on the door, hopefully with Dovi right there too for the whole season. It wasn't an epic race, but Vale showed his metal again with his "oh no you don't" attitude which stuffed Casey at Laguna, and Dani couldn't cope with it either. A lot of riders would have slipped back to 3rd or 4th, but not Vale, he always manages to make the best of what he has. |

I is happy that Melandri is happy with the Kwak.
But watching it ride is a real shame coz the Kwak looks real sweet...and Melandri rides it nice. Shame it is gone next season coz it deserves another go. I hope some renegade at Kwak can find some cash and green paint coz Melandri is doing the job on an unwanted reject...and deserves better. And Melandri was always a class act which is why his Ducati problems were such a noodle scratcher. |
