just a quick one, can I change standard air filter for a K & N, I'm using a blue flame end can with baffle in, or will I need a Power Commander

Element or complete air filter?

Did the same to mine - seems to pull slightly better thru the revs + the pops sound nice

Question Re: K & N Filter

How about chopping off the snorkel too (doesn't look like it will come off any other way, or will it)?

Pull it. It does come off. I took mine off and put SV1000 one on.

To be honest don't expect much noticable gain with the k&n, bmc are supposed to be better although I wouldn't know, have only used the k&n.

panosm, same as just put it in and go, either case power commanders aren't much benefit if any for what £200 or so. Better and cheaper to take it to a rolling road and get it set up that way if you so wish.
