OK Speedy Claire is organising this ride, but is having computer issues and so cannot get on here. I'll call her in the morning and post on her behalf where and when the ride will be.

To be clear, the ride being discussed in this thread is not the same as the one Hovis is organising over in the South West Surfers section.

I spoke to Claire and she has decided, based on the poll results that the ride will be from the Ponderosa to Devil's Bridge and Aberystwyth, returning to A&D Motorcycles in Denbigh late afternoon. Finish point can be flexible on the day if folks prefer. The ride is on SUNDAY 9th

So meet at Ponderosa cafe on the Horseshoe pass for 10.00 am to leave bang on 10.30.

Lunch Stop will be at Crossgates.

Ice cream stop in Aberdyfi.

Return to Denbigh.

Parts of the ride can be chopped out if progress is slow or the weather turns nasty etc. but the full route is 250 miles, so it's a long one!

Route

Wheee, never been for a rideout in Wales.

Looking forward to this one

Next question: Anyone from the Warrington area going, 'cause I don't have a clue where the Ponderosa is

Wow, that appears to be a fantastic route (and secretly I'm glad it's Wales rather than Buxton way). Never been to the Elan Valley so I'm looking forward to this muchly!

Let's hope for some decent weather and that the day goes as smoothly as usual.

The road from Newtown to Llandrindod Wells, is, in my 'umble opinion, one of the best A roads for motorbikes.

But the paint brush needs to wielded or she who must be obeyed has threatened to hide to keys to the SV - the penalty for leaving her on her own while I went to AR09.

Enjoy yourselves
