There are cheaper mods out there for the rear shock. Depending on your build, you can fit ZX6, ZX10, GSXR or Busa Shocks to Curvys. Some do require adaption to the battery box. I had a look at Flymo's Elka rear shock on his pointy and that did indeed look very bling

![]() It depends on what ohlins they are. they make ohlins kit for the GSXR but it depends entirely what they've used. Ohlins shock is quite possibly SV specific, or a GSXR one would fit too. Closer inspection, they look more like GSXR1000K1-K3 forks with an ohlins sticker on them.

A great deal better, the shock especially, so long as it is set up for your weight.
The GSXR1000 ones are good forks, and who knows what the ohlins sticker means. It could be anything from bugger all, to full aftermarket internals.

![]() Anyway, i adjusted them to 1/2 way plus 2 clicks towards hard. Massive improvement off course ![]() I will post some pics of the bike soon, but it seems that it has the GSXR 750/1000? (How can you tell?),forks, yokes ? standard SV wheel and brakes(with a nice adapter plate). What i don't understand is why the guy didn't just use the GSXR wheel and brakes? Is there a problem with this.. I really need to trawl through this forum to find all this out ![]() |

GSXR discs and wheels are expensive, probably worked out cheaper to get the plates made.
Look at caliper mounts, that tells you it is K1-K3 GSXR or any SV1000, forks are USD so must be 750 or 1000. Forks are gold, and they only came on the 1000 (ohhh god). They could be ohlins, but all the ohlins road and track forks I've seen have had bolt on caliper mounts and not black bottoms and caliper mounts like these. Of course I could be wrong there I know little of ohlins. What I wonder is why go to the effort of fitting these, then leave the stock calipers on. ridiculously easy improvement for you there, just flog the SV bits and swap for the front wheel, discs and calipers off a K1-K3 600/750/1000. Also, why put pukka performance stuff on like the forks, and shock, and then fit a totally stupid exhaust system which adds no power just more weight! I'd get rid of that right sharp and put a proper system on it (I think dave20046 was selling a leo vince system not long ago) Edit: on inspection the yokes look like the K1-K3 ones. Does the steering lock work?

Just been looking on Ebay and hell, the GSXR wheels are dear !!!
Forks dont have radial caliper mounts. Could have Ohlin internals, or just a couple of stickers ![]() I will be looking to put new wheel and calipers on. I quite like the exhaust set up, and sound ![]() ![]() ![]() No the steering lock dosen't work ![]() thanks for all the info btw |

If you want steering lock to work you can fit some SRAD750 yokes. There's a chance the GSXR discs might fit SV wheel, not sure of bolt BCD though.
Never heard of those, they could just be the cans. It's the pipework that matters.
