Yes, mine is in a s***ty mood for 14 days out of 28
![]() This is how it works with my wife, don't know if your GF is the same, but it sounds like she may be.... If she goes into silent mode and won't talk to you, wait until she goes to bed then go in and switch the light on, and tell her you are not prepared to go to bed on an argument because you won't sleep and the argument will still be there in the morning, so you ain't letting her sleep either until it's sorted. Then follow her to the spare bedroom, then the sofa, then unlock the bathroom door from the outside and just pester her until it escalates to screaming and tears. The screaming may not be pleasant but at least with the tears will come the truth. Might not be the best way of communicating but even screaming is more productive than day and days of silence, and leaving an issue that never gets dealt with just to return two weeks later. Once the screaming and tears are out of her system she'll be more prepared to talk and you'll find out what the real issue is, and it probably has sweet FA to do with your race school, that was probably just a catalyst. Then by 4am, having made lots of promises to each other, kiss and make up ![]() Sometimes moody silent types put up a wall, when the wall is too high to get over and too long you go round, and you can't find a door, you gotta break the wall down, seems to work for me with my wife anyway. No partnership is perfect and every partnership requires some work, effort, acceptance of the others faults and compromise to make it function. You need to learn how your partner ticks and find the best ways to manage them, and accept that it takes two to tango and that you are 50% of the problem. If you leave because it's the easy way out without actually putting that work in, and you really do love the person, you may live to regret it for the rest of your life. IMO that's why our divorce rate is so high. The time to leave a partner is when you envisage your life being happier without them than it is with them. Imagine going back to living alone in a flat, making your own dinner, sitting down in front of the TV alone, sleeping alone and waking up alone. If you are living in unhappiness and think that life would be better than the one you have now, and that you will be relieved that your free to do your own thing and that person is not there to make you miserable anymore, then it's time to leave. If you are having 50% happy times, 50% bad times, and you used to have 100% happy times, it's probably not time to leave, just time to put in some effort.
