I say stick with the "Hitler Thread" - I have been on other sites where the alternative is a reply with the word "REPOST" and the thread being locked.

However I would like to suggest we KEEP Hitler (whatever) tag, but it MUST be a link to the thread it Hitlers.

I like the idea that to use the Hitler repost there must be a link. Some could have multiple Hitler links though

Well then it would create a chain of Hitlered Posts, just list them in historical order, from left to reich.

It'd would be extreamly helpful if those which see a thread that has a topic they are already aware of been covered. If they posted a link to that thread with a tag along the lines of, "might find what your looking for in here" If they cant be bothered doing that then either posting a comment to summarise the solution of the other thread or dont reply.
Either way as lame as "hitler"-ing a thread is if it continues, I'll continue to take it on the chin. Its not worth runing my eyeliner over.

I'm sure we all find it a little tedious at times, but generally it's stated in jest and is also informative to others that may have seen the content before. So there is a purpose.

Everyone has a choice to read something or not. If another forum user decides to read something twice it's up to them. I like SK's suggestion and personally I think I'll adopt this approach in future.
