yeeh i am a medic - not that it makes any difference. if anything, i knew the danger of someone getting their head kicked in...maybe the law doesn't cover my actions, but i would like to think most people would do the same!...

incidentally, i don't like fighting (probably why i got ko'd and flopped it, lol)...defo not about having a blip on your record when youve been studying for 5 years...thats why I stay clear of drinks and severe drunkards!

Now if my mate was in a 1 V 1 fight i would get in there and try and split it up...but 6 v 1 mullering on the floor = not right!

incidentally..for any coppers/law people here...whats the lawful thing to do in a situation like this??

Call the police. Seriouslty, if we came across and incident like that, more than likely everyone would get scooped. Not necessarily prosecuted but you would probably get scooped at the time until it was investiated.

Yeah but what about the possibility of by the time the police getting there it might have been too late?

But surley he also had a legal right to step in and stop an offence being committed and rescue his friend.

Correct me if i'm but dont we all have a legal duty and responsibility to do the right thing? The right thing here being to defend his friend from the beating he was getting...self defence by proxy.
