Well, I posted this earlier. I messaged a mod but no one said anything.
I am no expert on this stuff OK? I apolgise if this is a load of rubbish.
Some IP numbers are 'static'. Firms use them.
I did a whois on the 62.6.149.27 IP using http://bgwhois.com
This brings up a network rail employee.....
Perhaps one of his minions using a computer doing work time?

http://www.linkedin.com brings up some interesting information however.
You will have to open an account to view the results but its dead easy..

The name that whois gives is mealy the person who is responsible for the registration of the IP address, not the person who uses it. Its tell you where it is registered but not where it is used.

Now we've narrowed it down to the Bletchley/ Fenny Stratford area of MK, it wouldn't take too many questions amongst bikers in that area, who I know very well, to find him.

Thanks for the detective work chaps

Nobody go kicking his head in. Won't do the site or it's members any favours.

We know that the network rail routers are in Ealing, nothing more. They could be in datacentre hosted by a third party as Network rails infrastructure is almost certain to be outsourced. I doubt railway stations have their own routes out to the internet anyway as all large corporates want central control of what employees are surfing at work. Internet traffic from stations probably routes out onto a national backbone, then breaks out onto the internet from a central point. All stations and NR offices in the UK probably use the same four addresses.

a question for you technical guys who re doing this good work of digging.

because i know little about these things really. What if this person is using one of those proxy servers ou can use online to hide your IP addy. I know some people use them to browse the org for work reasons or whatever. if this doofus was using one of those would these be the IP addys we see or does this go past that too?

Does that even make sense? lol.

Gotta second the first part of this sadly... and belive me im normally the first to jump in head over heals and end up on my A**e.

Davepreston will know what i'm on about when i heard a few biking related stories whilst dropping him off at the boat the other day.

Doesn't get anyone anywhere as much as it is VERY tempting. Sadly not the way the world works now. That is all.
