I already have 900 minutes and unlimited texts! But my job means I use the phone a lot, and often call international mobiles.

"Free" upgrade? What stunning phone were you hoping I could get for free?

I had considered upgrading to a 32Gb iPhone 3GS which would cost me £175 on a 24 month contract. Envirophone will give me £180 for my old iPhone (more than eBay) so I'd be ever-so-slightly quids in. But it's a long contract for not much of an upgrade, and rumour has it that a new iPhone will be announced in the summer.

No, don't! When you put your replies inline with someone else's quote, they get lost, as the next person can't quote a quote... Now I have to try and remember what you write about keyboards and stuff... Anyway, the iPhone keyboard works in portrait and landscape mode, so you can get nice big keys if you need 'em.

I use most of my minutes, some texts and up to 400Mb of data in a month. I haven't found another plan that'll give me all that. Also, I think you have to be on an iPhone tariff to get iPhone-specific features like the Visual Voicemail, but I'll double check that.

Was my sentiments too. "Girls phone blah, blah....ponces etc"

Till she got her 3g in the shop and I had a play around with it.

"Make it two please."

The interface makes everything else feel like a plastic clunky brick with a teeny screen.

yip, i didnt want to buy into the hype surrounding it. but it just works, straight out of the box it was doing things that i wanted it too. i didnt need to mess about with settings and stuff like that. i was so tempted to get rid of it with my contract being up, but then thought i would just get annoyed with another phone.

I've always had Nokia's. A few people at work have the latest Nokia's and seem to have no end of faffing about to get them to do what my Iphone does straight out of the box.

Now I've got my iphone I woudlnt go back to a Nokia again. I swore I'd never have an Iphone, but then Liz got one a while ago and I was totally blown away by it. So so easy to setup and use.

Er, yes it does, in the case of the iPhone. Only iTunes App Store apps, unless you jailbreak.

Iphone all the way, best thing i bought last year, and the gps does come in handy when you park in a massive car park and forget where you left car/bike.

in all honesty though everyone i now who has bought another smart phone i.e. HTC have always sold and bought an Iphone. good thing about it is, when my contract up for renewal i cant really see there being anything better out except maybe an updated Iphone.
