sv1000 speedo sensor

Ok the wiring is done but the SV1000 rotor doesn't fit on the 650 sprocket bolt, how did you fix the rotor/magnets to the front sprocket?

drilled it and tapped it.

Cool i'll prob end up doing the same, gonna look out for an SV1000 speedo as hopefully it'll be plug and play from there!

bibio/anyone concerned; sorry for a minor derail but could anyone tell me (pm?) where you got your hall effect sensor from and where/how you fitted it if possible?

I've got the hall effect sensor that everyone uses which i won't be needing! From memory it cost around £30 so make me an offer

Also, The GSX-R / SV1000 sensor works with magnets too. You just need to find a way to mount it so the flat side faces the magnets.

I reckon drilling and tapping the existing sprocket shaft will be easiest, then i'll mount the sensor out of the way of the clutch mech and plug it into the SV1000 clocks and bobs your uncle. Well thats the plan anyway!

Bob is definitely NOT my uncle.

The problem is the rotor hits the clutch mechanism, not the sensor.

The rotor is smaller than the sprocket so i can't see how it would hit anything? Is yours a curvy?

Nope, it's pointy as all get out.

The mechanism goes in front of the sprocket. If they were in the same plane they would definitely collide. The rotor will stick out past the sprocket and thus the problem.
