mines insured. Chances are if there rough getting the chain off it will stop a the end of the road anyways due to some imporant part dropping off it, like the engine

Install a ground anchor and an almax chain. If you're really serious some sort of silent alarm and park it in a place with a line of fire to it.

If they want it that badly, they can bleed for it

I have a metta alarm n imobi fitted, it lives in my locked vack garden which is guarded by my ferocious jack russell lol.

If i found someone nicking my bike i would let em have it on one condition. They took my wife too

cheers for the support.

yeah i gave it a quick once over wile the engine was running... (yeah it starts) turns out that there was a pipe on the right side between a gap in the frame that had been pulled off ( prob from where they carried it down the steet) i dont know what the tubing is as nothing was going/come out except air maybe, and its deffinatly the fuel injection as my old carby doesn't have this.
but even after reconnecting the light still shows up but according to the garage that i phoned i have to take it in to get the display reset even tho it may be fixed. so hopefully nothing too bad.
might take it in just to be sure as i think it was carried on its side by maybe four guys, one on each wheel one rear tail and one handle bars. (only reason why i think they would put it down so gently on its side rather than easyly on its kick stand) so better make sure everythings in line and not bent at all.

think anchor and alarm lock to go with everything else is in order like you all say. wish i was that precatious before but i suppose you learn the hard way right? shame

as for a mongrel the missus was looking for an excuse to get one now
we're moving in together. so maybe ill let her. for her sake of caurse

think untill my locks arrive illl just tie a bit of string from my toe to the bike. early warning and all that.

Here's a pic of a hilti bolt which i use on the front and back to secure my bike in the gagage.

This is used to tie scaffold to the outside of buildings and will set you back about £10.00.

I used 2 of these to secure my moped on the path of my house when i lived in London.

Numerous times i found the cover of my ped lifted up but i guess these prevented the scum from nicking it.

20mm drill bit required.
