put the ticket on the pepi poo website (not the right spelling but google and you shall find). If there is away to get off the ticket they will let you know about it. Other than that its prob best, you increase your observation and so slow down in time for a camera.
or and heres a crazy thought... dont speed. |

If it was me, I would probably just accept the ticket, face bigger fine and more points if it is pursued and found guilty. Unless you have a majorly good case. |

http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1988/53/section/1 My understanding of s.1(1) is that it does have to be received by the keeper within 14 days? |

We have gone over this time and time again. Legally, served means what I posted earlier. Providing it is mailed within th 14 days, so as it is expected it will reach the registered keeper within 14 days, then it is thought of as "served". I know that our force policy is to send NIPs recorded delivery so we have proof of when we posted it but that is not a legal requirement. |

I got done recently, yeah it's annoying but if you're willing to speed be willing to take the consequences when you get caught.
All this talk of "did it arrive in 14 days" and "if you try this you may get off" does my head in. We all speed, well most of us, and it should be done with the awareness that you may get caught and when you do you have to grow a pair and face the consequences. If you get offered a speed awareness course, do it, if you get points and a fine just take them. Deal with it, not the end of the world. All the "poor me" posts on a forum won't change the fact you took a chance and you were caught |

I believe the law is too draconian and disagree with it. Tyres, brakes and road surfaces have improved, but the speed limit is decreased. Certainly around reading the main, non motorway, road to London used to be national speed limit and now between Reading and Maidenhead (10 miles) there are 6-10 changes in speed limit varying between 30 and 60. Fair enough slow down when there are houses, but they have put 30 zones where there are fields both sides and the road is straight and level! Why? All I can assume is it is too increase speeding taxes and artificially raise the 'clear up' rate. I disagree with this and therefore will do whatever I can (legally) to fight it!
