Oh, OK, if you say so...

I'll get one of those then, at least until someone else says something's better than that without providing any follow up...

I would not ever ever have an iPhone again, it's great as a gadget for games and for Internet when your on a wifi connection, but as a phone I think they are crap, my is faulty I think cos it keeps going no service.

I didnt get a 4 because of the crap about the case and the way you hold it, £500 of phone shouldn't need a case to get signal.
So, I got 16gb 3GS, it's my second one since august, still need to take it back to the apple store when I get 5 mins.

And its much cheaper as Iphones are kept artificially high because of apple's dubious pricing practices.

Just as many apps.

Screen is a bit better.

Faster processor.

Memory is upgradeable not fixed in the phone.

Has flash (Iphone 3 hasnt)

I could go on.....

Got an HTC desire on Orange, fantastic gadget.

Absolutely love my Desire, cannot recommend it highly enough. Camera good,Phone good, apps brill, really easy to customise to make your own. Best bit of tech I have ever had - no doubts.

Lost without it.

A friend at work has an HTC Desire and loves it to bits, I've recently got myself a PAYG Wildfire on Vodafone and am very happy with it too.

not had an Iphone myself, but they seem to have a Marmite factor about them it would appear

I thought the Iphone Ameoled screen was better than the Capacitive screens on HTC's though, or is that something else I have got wrong?

Is the Samsung Galaxy a realistic option too? Not sure, but they look interesting!

Blackberry either the new Torch or the new Bold 9780 both with the new os 6, not as customizeable with aps and games like th iPhone and androids but has a pretty big app store come with 2 year warranty, love my Curve 8900 first one kept crashing on the interweb but that got replaced and this one has been fine

Price isn't a concern, even if it was, difference in price works out to be <10% of the total cost over the contract period

Just as many apps.
So as good then?

Screen is a bit better.
It's bigger, lower resolution though, fewer pixels in a bigger chassis sounds like a downgrade to me?

Faster processor.
Given, but it's not like I'll be transcoding video on it

Memory is upgradeable not fixed in the phone.
32GB is more than I'll ever need on the phone

Has flash (Iphone 3 hasnt)
Not looking at the 3, but yes, seems short sighted, you can install it on a 4 if you need it

I could go on.....
I'm not seeing anything groundbreaking yet

But unlike the iphone, it will probably work.
Sounds like you have made your mind up anyway.
