I avoided all newscasts through the weekend, but was shocked on watching breakfast time news today. The extent of damage and loss of life is truly frightening. Forget their dip in share price, those poor, poor people who have suffered the most horrendous of deaths.

With hindsight, it was a bit insensitive, for that I apologise.

It wasn't my view btw, I have had discussions like this before and wondered what peoples views were.

Sorry to have picked up on it and made something of it too really, I should have let it go as it's obvious you don't have an issue and were just making that point of others....The important thing is we are all no doubt deeply sorry for what has and is going on in Japan and whatever is said it wont change that!

I've still not seen much of the footage - I don't think i want to. I can appreciate the scale of things and know that its happening - its not head in sand. I just wish that Head office would tell their people that they are alright!!

Remember that devastation in Haiti? Funny as not much of the world seems to. Could it be due to the contribution that Haiti makes to the world economy,(practically zilch) or the fact that...heavens above....the majority of the people are black, that largely their plight has been forgotten.

China, traditionally Japan's biggest foe, has been one of the first to offer massive aid. Because you know, those economical wheels cant keep turning without our Japanese friends playing their crucial role.
