You just drag and drop/ copy and paste. So find the music copy and paste it. I personally prefer it to iTunes. Fell out with that long ago. Android automatically adds any music to the player that is on the SD card. With the newer ones having more onboard storage I'm not sure. For the Samsung galaxy s2 you might be able to use kies air. Not certain, you can still add to the SD card.
With android, all you need to do is connect the cable to the phone and pc and select mass storage on the phone and it acts as a memory card dead easy. Simple. Full control.

What is last Gen about the arc is the 1Ghz CPU. My 18 month old desire has that!

Keep us posted as to what you go for

Cheers for that, but i take it i would have to move all my music to windows media player or some thing?, then yes just plug in and upload to phone. Aha just found out there is a program called i tunes sync, to make i tunes work with any phone, but yep, will let it be known what i decide on.

Whats wrong with a 1Ghz CPU - smartphones have worked with slower CPU's for years, but I guess faster is always better - right?

SE learned a lot from the X10, their customisation on the Xperia Play really just amounts to one Social Networking App and some live wallpapers.

The screen on the Arc is huge, and as it uses the same tech as Sony put in their TVs, looks very good, add a 8.1MP camera with HD video capabilities and things like HDMI out, not to mention you can be holding it and then wonder where you put it dowb because its so light.

There are so many "support" chips in phones that the CPU speed is, for the most part, a marketing tool.

Appreciate it's a bit of a derail, however others may want to do this too. I'm looking for an EASY way to take tunes from my ipod and put them into my HTC as mp3's, preserving the song/artist info. As far as I am aware, you can transfer the files directly, however the filenames are not useful.

Yeah but sk, the samsung has got all, and can do all that the arc can only faster, and i believe it's lighter as well, and it's the same price for what i want 25.54 a month, ie, i don't need 600 or 900 mins a month or 10 billion texts, as a rule i only send about 10-20 per year, had a text fest last night sent 5 to the daughter, messing about lol.

Sorry nobby, I'm not sure. Google for CDs or android forums a lot of know-how there!

I agree they have learnt a lot. But I still think they are going the wrong way.

As to CPU, not at all just a marketing tool, watch the vids, the performance gains are very obvious! My desire is similarly spec'd to the arc and I can safely say the s2 blows it out of the water (again watch the video I linked).

No doubt the arc will be a damn nice phone, but if you want the best you want to get the s2 is it ATM. Best screen (that could be subjective I admit, but amoled for me has always beat any backlit LCD screen, again compaired desire with amoled with one with slcd, No coparison at all!), best CPU, most ram, slimest lightest.
