Ahhh the Rover Metro 1.4 was one of my first cars.... it didn't look tooooo bad

Besides I got it for £50 so that makes it all okay........

haha we were gonna put up the Princess last night, but I said to Peg, some peeps on here might be astounded by the fact that modern cars are indeed rather pretty, as they've never heard or seen them...

,....but then we're old!

So why, if they failed so miserably at the beauty contest with the princess did they have to try again with the Ambassador?

To be fair I was thinking of the Maestro (first talking car?) and the Montego (check out the yellow one!) more than the humble cheese wedge/door stop/ The 6R4 Metro was hot stuff in the 80's

I thought that this thread was going to be about travel sickness, which I am sad to report I really suffer with. I have puked in more cars that I care to remember and have even been travel sick on my SV.

However, having been through this thread, frankly I am shocked that you missed this one. It looks like a cow pat with wheels.

I present the Austin Maxi... Vile looking thing.

During my childhood, my Father insisted in driving one of these horrible things (see below). At the time, it was just a car to me and I did not realise what a shed it was.
