My kids will never let me forget.
Many years ago, a neighbour came to door to say that a dead cat was lying next to nearby main road and she thought it was our's. The kids wanted to come with me but I told them to stay. It was our cat and on way back to house I thought how I would break news. So ------ when I opened door, I shouted for them to look and see if they could find the recent shopping receipt when we bought cat food. Our son guessed right away but daughter asked why, I said, 'so we can get a refund' I know it was bad but thought the humour(??) might ease the pain. PS also never forgiven for putting remains in wheelie bin A bad person in Glasgow |
