Do you not have the little cored plastic fasteners in the back end of your side panels Tamsen? Didn't see you take them out or replace them in the vid.
Good little video by the way. |

Unsure what you mean by this, if you have a few mins could you upload a picture of what it would look like? I am curious now!

I haven't got them on mine either but mine are aftermarket ones that just slot behind the rear fairing. Enjoying your vids by the way. Cornwall is one of my favourite places. More for the cider, smugglers and witches mind. ![]() Last edited by Flybuster; 04-06-15 at 09:11 PM. |

The scenery in the vids of the Cornish landscape brings back great memories of family holidays, recognised a few favorite spots from your videos already.
Great stuff |

They're also used underneath the fairing side panels. One each side. You'd have found them when you did the front indicator replacement. I think they're mentioned in the H****'s manual. One was missing on my bike when I got it. Might cure the odd rattle if you need to replace them, but nothing likely to fall off.

Yes Haynes shows the removal of those clips from the side panels photos 2.1a -d in chapter 8. Doesn't mention them in chapter 8 section 6 on removing the fairing side panels, but I think the arrow by the indicator and the mechanic's hand in photo 6.2a might be intended to show the clip location. It's in that area anyway about 6" away from the big headed allen screw on the underside of the fairing side panel.
Black electrical tape got my similarly perished and broken indicator through MOT by the way. Maybe more evidence of black being better than blue?? ![]()

Thanks for all the replies, I don't have those on my fairings, and not on the previous 2002 SV written off. I am going to look and see if I can see the holes though!
Cornwall is such a beautiful place. I have one of those emmit (tourist) free promotional maps of the county stashed in my bag, on days off I look and pick a new place and then tick it off! My bike needs a really good clean, I think that will be my first priority today!! |

If you're taking requests I'd like to see the B3306 out of St Ives through Zennor from a bike pov.
And if you want inspiration for your videos, my favourite youtubers are Leafster1973 (VStrom mostly Yorkshire and Scotland), AlpineGuerrilla (Pointy blue SV650s in French/Swiss/Italian alps) and also GS Vintage Ride (Various BMWs in S of France. See what you think.
